Juneau Photos – Night Walk

Walkin’ around on a beautiful night in Milwaukee and took a few pictures of stuff near and in Juneau Park. Juneau Park overlooks Lake Michigan and Veteran’s Park from atop the hill going up to it.

Images shot on my Canon 5Dmkiii and processed in Lightroom (the first also minor touch-up in Photoshop).

JUNEAU PHOTOS:
I was going to conquer this tower, but that statue beat me to it.

Lights. Camera. Still image.

This ladder is yellow IRL.

These look safe.

Gomez Bobblehead Day Photos

Below are photos I took at Miller Park during Carlos Gomez Bobblehead Day (April 27, 2014 — his jersey is #27, see what they did there?).
Sat in section 328. Braun and Segura were on timeout for dugout shenanigans I believe. Brewers lost the game 4-0 to the Cubbies, but it was a great time.

So I knew I wanted to get a shot with the banner M lined up over the Miller Park M and the lightpole over the I (super genius, I know), but it was tough to sneak in for a shot without getting run over.

So I didn’t line the shot up as perfect as I wanted. And the guy in the lower right kept gawking at me like a crazy person.

But I feel like I won that battle when I put my sig over him.

Victory.

This is me cautiously leaning over the railing like a sissy.

This cup isn’t ironic at all.

Oh, so the Cubs think they can play small ball and beat us?
Well, apparently they can.

Bobblehead Gomez with some great defense.

Shot of the park from my seat. Over 45,000 in attendance for the Sunday day game.

Everyone loves the Klements races! And this time it was a relay!

Another super-genius idea I had: get Gomez Bobblehead in foreground while he’s at bat.

See all the photos from Gomez Bobblehead Day in the flickr set here.

Spring Sunset in Downtown Milwaukee

During one of our first spring-like April days in Milwaukee, I ventured to the lakefront for a few minutes during sunset. Took some stills with my 5dmk3 and processed them in Lightroom.

Downtown Milwaukee. Plus excellent use of foreground. Also, clouds.

Not sure what this plant is. But it’s backlit.

Not sure the official term on the “leaves” here, so I called them “Whisps.”

Downtown Milwaukee. Plus trees that haven’t decided it’s spring yet.

OpenX Photo Shoot

I recently did a photo shoot for Forbes #7 upcoming corporation, OpenX, who handle online advertising. Journal Communications (which includes the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel) uses OpenX software. OpenX wanted a candid shoot of the Journal Communications employees in action.

Below are some of my favorites from the shoot, and you can see 16 of my favorites in the Flickr Gallery.

I think this image can apply to a lot of different situations. But he’s just setting a projector:

Journal employee in their lobby, that they in actuality like never go to, as it’s really just for guests. The window-light really brought out her beautiful sky-blue eyes:

Pretty cool looking lobby. These guys are also pretty funny:

They think just ’cause they’re walking away from me that I’ll stop taking photos. I’ll show them!:
